Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust invites applications for a six-month senior leadership post within the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre's Cancer Services Division. The post holder will run day-to-day operations, including performance, patient flow, governance, finance and continuous improvement, reporting to the COO's senior team.

Candidates should have a Masters-level or equivalent management background, with recent acute trust experience and a proven track record of delivering

Qualifications

• Masters-level higher professional or management degree, or equivalent knowledge acquired by experience.
• Postgraduate qualification in leadership, change management or quality improvement, or equivalent by experience.
• Recent, extensive continuing professional and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management of the division and deliver against standards, performance indicators and Trust objectives.
• Provide visible, inclusive leadership across the division.
• Provide financial leadership, including divisional budgets and cost improvement plans.
• Lead continuous improvement, transformation and service redesign within the division.
• Chair the Divisional Board and oversee performance, risks and priorities.
