The CRUK Scotland Institute in Glasgow is seeking an Animal Technician to support the Biological Service Unit. You will assist in providing a well-managed animal facility in line with legal and welfare standards.

Experience with lab animals is preferred; you may pursue IAT qualifications or have equivalent credentials. The role requires flexibility and collaboration with researchers and staff, including weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have some work experience with animals in laboratory settings or animal technician duties.
• They must be prepared to undertake Institute of Animal Technology (IAT) qualifications or possess equivalent qualifications.
• They should have a caring attitude towards animals and improving their environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist Unit Managers in providing a working animal unit while complying with legislation and welfare standards.
• Work with scientists and technicians, independently and in teams.
• Be prepared for weekend and bank holiday shifts on a rota.
