Job summary
Sunrise Unit at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to assist a registered nursing team with fundamental care and basic observations. You will work across Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe hospitals, providing compassionate, patient-centred support and maintaining a clean, safe ward environment.
Hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, with a requirement to travel off-site and mentor new Nursing Assistants after twelve months.
Qualifications
- Experience of working with people, ideally in a front-line customer service role.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Dignity and respect in patient interactions.
- Good verbal and written English communication.
Responsibilities
- Assist the registered nurse in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Provide fundamental nursing care including personal hygiene, eating/drinking, mobility and washing.
- Assist the consultant with patient care during consultations.
- Carry out limited clinical observations under supervision.
- Maintain high clinical standards and a safe ward environment.
- Support trust-wide safety and caring environment.
