Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts invites applications for a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the CAT Team. The CNS will provide expert cancer nursing care, coordinate complex pathways and support MDT activity across the cancer journey from diagnosis to follow-up.

The post involves managing a defined caseload, running nurse-led clinics, and delivering high standards of compassionate, safe care in line with NICE guidance and Trust policies. 22.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.
• Clinical expertise in cancer care and CNS-level assessment and management.
• Experience coordinating care within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist CNS care to CAT Team patients along the cancer pathway.
• Act as a key contact for patients and carers, offering clinical advice and information.
• Coordinate patient care with the MDT and participate in nurse-led clinics and reviews.
• Support pathway management and ensure alignment with national standards and Trust policies.
• Contribute to service delivery, quality improvement and patient safety.
