Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Lung Specialist Cancer CNS Team. The postholder will be a registered nurse with experience in lung cancer or respiratory disease and a commitment to expanding specialist expertise.

You will undertake holistic needs assessments, coordinate care, provide emotional support, and serve as a key worker through the cancer pathway.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with experience caring for patients with lung cancer or respiratory disease.
• Commitment to developing specialist knowledge in lung cancer and respiratory care.
• Experience in holistic needs assessments, coordinating care and signposting services.

Responsibilities

• Undertake holistic needs assessments and coordinate care for lung cancer patients.
• Provide emotional and psychological support and act as a key worker across the cancer pathway.
• Support service improvement and develop competencies in caseload management and specialist practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in respiratory medicine, oncology, diagnostics, palliative care and primary care.
