Reconomy Connect is seeking a Waste Supervisor to lead the on-site waste and recycling operations at the University of Hertfordshire sites in a 32.5 hour week, Monday to Friday. You will drive sustainability by maximizing recycling rates, ensuring safe handling of waste, and supporting both CBRE and university management teams.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to best practice in health and safety across campus facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within waste management, recycling, or environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the on-site recycling team, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality service.
• Manage day-to-day waste and recycling operations, keeping the site running smoothly and productively.
• Build strong relationships with CBRE, the University of Hertfordshire, and key stakeholders across campus.
• Drive sustainability by maximising recycling rates and reducing general waste.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance service efficiency and performance.
• Proactively resolve operational challenges and support business continuity planning.
• Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates, service information, and improvement opportunities.
• Champion health, safety, and compliance, ensuring best practice is followed at all times.
