Job summary

Reconomy Connect is seeking a Waste Supervisor to manage waste and recycling services across the University of Hertfordshire campus. The role focuses on driving recycling rates, safe operations, and strong stakeholder engagement with CBRE and university management.

You will lead a dedicated on-site team, work 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, and play a key role in delivering sustainable waste solutions while supporting business continuity and compliance across campus.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the on-site recycling team, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality service.
• Manage day-to-day waste and recycling operations, keeping the site running smoothly and productively.
• Build strong relationships with CBRE, the University of Hertfordshire, and key stakeholders across campus.
• Drive sustainability by maximising recycling rates and reducing general waste.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance service efficiency and performance.
• Proactively resolve operational challenges and support business continuity planning.
• Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates, service information, and improvement opportunities.
• Champion health, safety, and compliance, ensuring best practice is followed at all times.
