Job summary

Victoria College of Arts and Design is seeking a Student Information and Support Officer to join our Manchester campus: Arthur House, Chorlton St, Manchester, M1 3FH. You will provide high-quality support to our students throughout their academic journey, ensuring they receive guidance on academic, personal and career-related matters.

The role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in student services or similar role in higher or further education.
• Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised support to students in areas such as academic progress, personal matters and career development.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for student inquiries via email, phone and in-person.
• Ensure compliance with university policies when responding to student needs.
• Managing student attendance and absences as per the university policies
• Collaborate with academic and administrative staff to identify and address student concerns and provide feedback on academic progress.
• Maintain and update student records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Provide regular and accurate reports to VCAD and our partner universities.
• Organise and facilitate events and workshops to promote student engagement and enhance the student experience.
• Monitor student attendance, academic progress and behavior, intervening, when necessary, to ensure student success.
• Support administrative processes including enrollment, withdrawals, and reporting.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of student information and support services.
