Job summary

RNN Group is seeking a Security and Pastoral Officer for its campus in Rotherham. You will patrol buildings and grounds, monitor CCTV, manage access points and respond to emergencies to keep learners, staff and visitors safe.

This full-time, 37-hour role is temporary for six months, with a focus on promoting positive behaviour and supporting staff in supervising vulnerable learners, while providing a visible uniformed presence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a security guarding environment.
• Experience with CCTV monitoring and alarm systems.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and promote safety.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus buildings and grounds to deter and respond to security threats.
• Monitor CCTV and manage access points to ensure safety of learners, staff and visitors.
• Engage with learners to support positive conduct and de-escalate conflicts.
• Assist in supervision of vulnerable learners in communal areas and during transitions.
• Respond to emergencies and liaise with Security Manager as required.
