Job summary

City of Bristol College is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to maintain a safe environment across campus sites. You will manage a visible security presence at reception, greet staff and students, and ensure compliance with security procedures while delivering excellent customer service.

You will conduct regular patrols across buildings, grounds and car parks, monitor for risks, and reinforce college rules.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to undergo security training and gain qualifications.
• Experience in security or a similar role is advantageous, but full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Be a visible security presence at reception and greet staff, students, and visitors.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, grounds and car parks to reinforce rules.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms and incidents with swift, appropriate action.
• Record activity and incidents in line with college procedures and assist the facilities team.
• Support safeguarding welfare of children, young people and other vulnerable individuals.
