Job summary

Homefield College Limited is seeking a Site Coordinator to ensure a safe, secure and well-maintained campus for students, staff and visitors. The role provides day-to-day oversight of health, safety and site operations in line with legislation and college policies.

Based in Mountsorrel, this full-time role (37 hours per week, 40 weeks a year) starts ASAP and involves coordinating facilities, catering supplies, and post-incident follow-up, while supporting events and open days in a culture of

Qualifications

• Level 2 in English and Maths Essential Certificate
• Level 2 Autism awareness Essential Certificate
• Health and Safety Level 2 or working towards Essential Certificate
• Level 3 in Management / supervision or working towards Desirable Certificate
• Practical experience of health and safety Essential
• Experience of running a site with multiple stakeholders Essential
• Experience of entering data, completing digital processes and auditing the output Essential
• Experience of creating and following risk assessments Desirable
• Experience of dealing with external stakeholders i.e. parents, local authorities and suppliers Desirable
• Excellent coordination and short-term planning skills Essential
• Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing Essential
• Lead and support difficult conversations Essential

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site is opened and secured in accordance with College procedures.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the site and point of contact for external clean contractor.
• Communicate effectively with all staff, students, contractors and visitors.
• Contribute to the daily staff briefing.
• Ensure appropriate resources and catering supplies are available for site users.
• Supporting student events and open days.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly site checklists, inspections and compliance audits.
• Monitor compliance with College policies, site rules and statutory requirements.
• Act as the designated Site First Aider and Fire Marshall, conduct routine safety checks.
• Safely store, record and deliver daily student medications following the care plan.
