Job summary

East Coast College is seeking a part-time Security Ranger at Lowestoft Campus to safeguard students, staff and visitors and protect college premises and property.

The role involves patrolling, monitoring CCTV, responding to incidents, managing access, and supporting emergency responses, with a focus on customer service.

You will assist with car parking, first aid duties, safeguarding, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies while upholding safeguarding and equality.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths or equivalent
• Ability to evidence these qualifications
• Enhanced DBS check required

Responsibilities

• Maintain Campus Security & Safety by patrolling, responding to incidents, monitoring CCTV, managing access and supporting emergency responses.
• Provide Excellent Customer Service as the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors in a safe, welcoming environment.
• Monitor Compliance & Incident Management by carrying out ID checks, enforcing safety requirements, recording incidents and maintaining reports.
• Support College Operations & Welfare by assisting with car park duties, first aid, safeguarding and equality initiatives.
