Job summary

Catering is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join an on-site M&E team at a large university campus in Cardiff. This hands-on role covers planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical plant, with a 4 on/4 off rotating shift pattern.

You will hold an NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and an 18th Edition qualification, with a minimum of 3 years FM experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
• 18th Edition qualification.
• Minimum 3 years FM experience, ideally within a similar environment.
• Strong electrical maintenance background.
• Rotating days and nights shift pattern.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a wider M&E team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across the site.
• Work on a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
• Support the wider M&E team with general maintenance requirements.
• Complete maintenance records and relevant documentation.
• Work effectively as part of the on-site engineering team.
• Follow all relevant health & safety and site procedures.
