Job summary

Professional Personnel Management Ltd is seeking an experienced M&E Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to support a busy university campus. You will maintain and service building services plant, ensure statutory compliance, and uphold a safe environment for staff and students.

The role requires extensive water hygiene management experience, HVAC plant knowledge, and the ability to perform both hands-on maintenance and compliance activities with minimal supervision in occupied environments.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management is essential.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and water systems is required.
• Experience with water hygiene tasks and routine compliance activities is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services plant.
• Perform servicing and inspections of pumps, expansion vessels and associated systems.
• Carry out water hygiene compliance activities in line with ACOP L8 requirements.
• Respond to breakdowns and restore plant operation efficiently.
• Complete maintenance records and statutory compliance documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of service delivery across the estate.
• Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota where required.
