Job summary

The University of Bath is seeking a Security Officer (Campus Incident and Emergency response) to join the Security team, protecting students, staff and visitors across campus, accommodation and city buildings. The role covers security patrols, emergency response, first aid and welfare support, with collaboration with colleagues and emergency services.

You will work on a rotating 24/7 shift pattern, 38.5 hours per week, with a 15% shift allowance and a 10% market supplement.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence for manual and automatic vehicles.
• SIA Door Supervisor licence required.
• First Aid at Work qualification required.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security patrols and incident response across campus and city buildings.
• Coordinate with emergency services when incidents occur.
• Provide welfare support and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
• Manage incidents with initiative and professionalism.
