Job summary

Coleg y Cymoedd is seeking a Grounds Person for our Ystrad Mynach Campus in Wales. The role is full-time and involves maintaining the College grounds, operating grass-cutting machinery and supporting the Estates & Facilities team.

You will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and, for roles involving direct learner interaction, registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is mandatory. Flexible working options may be discussed during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and outdoor space upkeep.
• Ability to operate grass-cutting machinery safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to participate in out-of-hours rota and key-holding duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain College grounds and outdoor spaces to a safe, attractive standard.
• Operate grass-cutting machinery and related equipment.
• Support Estates & Facilities team with required duties.
• Take part in out-of-hours rota for intruder and fire alarm call-outs.
• Occasionally travel to other College sites as needed.
