Job summary

Keighley College is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join a small team to support the building and systems, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming campus for students, staff and visitors.

You will undertake a range of duties including deliveries, room setup, minor maintenance tasks, and acting as a First Aider. The role includes shifts across term time and occasional weekends, with driving licence and GCSEs in English and Maths required.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer service environment is desirable.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented.
• Ability to work flexible hours including some weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Post and parcel delivery, refilling photocopiers, litter-picking, and setting out rooms.
• Move furniture and ensure heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems are working.
• Support day-to-day campus operations with the Facilities Supervisor.
• Assist with basic planned maintenance tasks to stay compliant with regulations.
• Provide support during Fire Activations and emergency procedures.
• Be a nominated First Aider and respond as required.
• Openings and lock-ups at start/end of day depending on shift.
• Occasional weekend work; excellent customer service to our students and staff.
