Job summary

Bobby Moore Academy is seeking a porter to help guard campus safety, manage site security at shift changes, and keep facilities ready for use by students and the community. The role covers out-of-hours site inspections, basic maintenance, and health and safety compliance.

Experiences with building safety, basic repairs, and outdoor/indoor duties are valued. The post offers flexible working patterns and access to welfare benefits as part of a supportive education trust environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Relevant experience required.
• Basic knowledge of building compliance checks, site security procedures and emergency evacuation processes.
• Ability to operate and use tools and equipment and to undertake general porterage duties.
• Tasks indoors and outdoors including cleaning and minor repairs in toilet areas, dealing with spills and waste collections.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safety of lettings customers and security of the campus.
• Support the operational management of the Academy site out of hours, including site inspection and health & safety compliance.
• Ensure facilities are fully operational for the Academy and community use.
