Job summary

Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue in Scunthorpe is seeking a proactive Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of site and estates services. You will ensure that buildings, grounds and facilities remain safe, compliant and fully operational while coordinating contractors and managing staff across facilities teams.

The role combines leadership, health and safety compliance, maintenance, and contractor management within a 12-month fixed-term contract, with opportunities to support capital

Qualifications

• Experience within facilities, estates, site or property management.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements and building compliance.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supervising or managing staff.
• Ability to undertake practical maintenance and repair tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems.
• Proactive, flexible and resilient attitude.
• A full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the academy site.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and academy procedures.
• Line manage Facilities Assistants and Cleaning Teams, supporting their development and performance.
• Oversee routine inspections, maintenance programmes and statutory compliance checks.
• Coordinate contractors and monitor the quality of service delivery.
• Manage site security, including opening and closing procedures and emergency response arrangements.
• Support business continuity planning and emergency preparedness.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance and presentation across the academy.
• Carry out and coordinate minor repairs and maintenance works.
• Support capital projects and improvement works across the site.
