Job summary

Oasis Academy Long Cross is seeking a proactive Facilities Manager to lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring a safe, compliant and inspiring environment for pupils, staff and visitors. You will manage facilities staff, oversee maintenance, coordinate contractors and uphold health and safety standards across the academy.

The role requires practical maintenance skills, strong organisational ability and a customer-focused approach, with safeguarding awareness and driving licence as essential

Qualifications

• Experience leading facilities, premises, estates or site management.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and statutory compliance.
• Ability to coordinate teams, manage workloads and work with external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of facilities and estates services across the academy.
• Manage and support Facilities Assistants and cleaning teams.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
• Oversee building maintenance, repairs and site inspections.
• Coordinate contractors and monitor service delivery standards.
• Manage site security, including opening and closing procedures.
• Support business continuity planning and emergency response arrangements.
• Maintain records through health & safety and asset management systems.
• Ensure grounds and buildings are safe, clean and fit for purpose.
