Job summary

Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue in the United Kingdom is seeking a proactive Facilities Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible. You will lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, compliance and optimal facilities services for staff and pupils.

You will line-manage facilities staff, coordinate contractors, oversee maintenance programmes and support capital projects to maintain high presentation and safety standards across the academy.

Qualifications

• Experience within facilities, estates, site or property management.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements and building compliance.
• Experience supervising or managing staff.
• A full driving licence.

• Line manage Facilities Assistants and Cleaning Teams, supporting their development and performance.
• Oversee routine inspections, maintenance programmes and statutory compliance checks.

• Manage site security, including opening and closing procedures and emergency response arrangements.
• Support business continuity planning and emergency preparedness.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance and presentation across the academy.
• Carry out and coordinate minor repairs and maintenance works.
• Support capital projects and improvement works across the site.

Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue is seeking a proactive and dedicated Facilities Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring our academy provides an outstanding environment in which staff and pupils can learn, develop and thrive.

About The Role

As Facilities Manager, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of site and estates services across the academy, ensuring that our buildings, grounds and facilities remain safe, compliant and fully operational. You will work closely with academy leaders, the wider Property & Estates team and external contractors to maintain high standards across all aspects of facilities management.

This is a varied role combining leadership, facilities management, health and safety compliance, contractor management and practical site maintenance. You will also line manage site and cleaning staff, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and professionally.
