Job summary

Get Staffed Online Recruitment Limited is seeking a Building and Maintenance Officer to support campus facilities across the estate. You will help maintain teaching spaces, coordinate access, manage basic repairs and keep records up to date.

The role requires good organisational skills, clear communication and the ability to work independently within a team, including liaising with contractors and service teams. A DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in building, maintenance or facilities.
• Strong organisational skills and prioritisation.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Solutions-focused with good judgement.
• Ability to work with students, staff and contractors.
• Experience coordinating maintenance activity.
• Proficient with maintenance records or CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of campus buildings and facilities.
• Coordinate opening and closing of buildings per procedures.
• Address routine maintenance needs and escalate to contractors.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and works.
• Assist with health and safety compliance and risk assessments.
• Provide first-line IT and equipment support as needed.
• Liaise with contractors to ensure safe access on site.
