Compass Group PLC is recruiting for an Events Manager to join our university venues team, delivering exceptional hospitality at University College London (UCL) events. You will lead end-to-end event briefings, manage staff across campus sites, and ensure service aligns with CH&CO standards and client expectations.

You will build strong client relationships, monitor service quality, and drive continuous improvement through feedback and training, with a focus on safety, hygiene and delivering

Qualifications

• Friendly, engaging and with strong customer relationships skills.
• Organised and efficient in dealing with multiple enquiries, quotes and orders.
• Experience in leading staff briefings for events.
• Passion for food, drinks and hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client expectations of hospitality food and service are delivered in line with CH&CO brand.
• Lead full staff briefings for events detailing food and service standards.
• Monitor service and food quality; provide feedback to Hospitality Supervisor/service team and head chef.
• Contribute with the team to ensure service is professional and timely.
• Develop good working relationships with clients at events/sites.
• Build long-term relationships with regular and new hospitality customers.
• Work with Head of Hospitality to ensure correct staffing and optimal utilization for events.
• Prepare quotes for clients and events ensuring profits and margins are in line with budgets.
• Ensure staff adhere to COSHH and HACCP procedures, health and safety standards.
