Job summary

Academy Royale International (ARI) invites Counsellors to join our campus team at Oxford or Cambridge. You will be the friendly face outside lessons, supporting wellbeing, guiding activities and ensuring safety across a busy summer programme.

Working with students aged 10–18 from around the world, you’ll help deliver social and enrichment activities, manage night shifts, and contribute to a memorable ARI experience with comprehensive training before the summer.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people.
• Excellent spoken English; ability to explain rules and lead activities.
• A-levels or equivalent.
• Aged 18 or over by the start of first session; role involves supervising students under 18.
• Desirable: at least one year of higher education.
• Desirable: experience leading a team or working under pressure.
• Desirable: ability to lead an activity in area of interest.

Responsibilities

• Look after students and support wellbeing on campus and on trips.
• Lead and support Social, Events and Enrichment activities; contribute your own ideas.
• Support excursions and supervision between lessons; take registers on the ground.
• Complete rostered night shifts, curfew supervision and airport transfer duties.
• Help deliver Arrival Day welcomes and campus tours; support Graduation and departures.
• Review risk assessments and report accidents and concerns promptly.
• Attend daily team briefings and work with Counsellors, Junior Deans and Campus Management.
