Nescot College in Epsom is seeking a dedicated Youth Welfare Officer to support students aged 14 to 25 during term-time. You will build trusted relationships, respond to welfare and safeguarding concerns, and help maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
Working on-site, you will patrol college buildings and engage with Security, Safeguarding and Wellbeing teams to ensure appropriate support and timely escalation when needed. This role is fixed-term until August 2027.
Term time only (40 weeks) / Fixed term until August 2027
Nescot is graded 'Good' by Ofsted following its latest inspection in January 2023. Inspectors rated the College as Good in all 8 aspects. The report recognises that students "enjoy their courses and are motivated to succeed", and benefit from "highly supportive relationships" with staff. Safeguarding arrangements are "effective" with regular training for staff, and leaders have in place "an effective policy for safer recruitment."
