Job summary

Tees University is looking for a part-time cleaning operative to join our campus facilities team. The role runs Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 9.00am, requiring you to complete cleaning tasks across the campus and follow the provided schedules using vacuums and scrubbing machines.

You will need a working knowledge of industrial cleaning methods, COSHH and safe working practices, and the ability to work on your own initiative. Computer basics for emails are desirable.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of industrial cleaning methods.
• Some knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Able to work on your own initiative.
• Basic computer use for reading and replying to University emails.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day duties include completing cleaning tasks assigned by the Cleaning Team Leaders and Supervisor, following schedules and using machines such as vacuums and scrubbing machines.
• During vacation periods you will also be required to complete major cleaning programmes across the campus.
