Job summary

Tees Valley University is seeking a part-time cleaner working 12.5 hours, Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 9.00am, to maintain campus facilities. You will complete cleaning tasks as directed by Cleaning Team Leaders and Supervisors, follow schedules, and operate vacuums and scrubbing machines.

During holidays you may cover major cleaning programmes across the campus and work in different locations. The role requires knowledge of industrial cleaning methods, awareness of COSHH and safe practices,

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of industrial cleaning methods.
• Some knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Desirable basic computer skills (reading/replying to university emails).

Responsibilities

• Complete cleaning tasks assigned by Cleaning Team Leaders and Supervisors.
• Follow schedules of work and use vacuums and scrubbing machines.
• Participate in major cleaning programmes across the campus during vacation periods.
• Be able to work across university locations.
