Job summary

Bath College invites applications for a part-time Catering Assistant to support our catering team across campuses. You will handle general kitchen duties, food preparation, and frontline service for staff and students, with shifts from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week across 42 weeks per year.

The role includes occasional work at the City Centre Campus in Bath and requires adherence to food safety regulations and safeguarding expectations. The post is permanent.

Qualifications

• Good level of general secondary education.
• Demonstrate good customer service skills.
• Demonstrate how you comply to the Food Safety Laws.
• Demonstrate experience of ordering, preparation, cooking, serving and clearing down of food.

Responsibilities

• Work with the catering team to meet high standards of service for all clients.
• Assist in delivering good customer service for staff and students.
• General food preparation and cooking.
• Washing up and cleaning within the department.
• Ensure all items are packaged with correct allergen and date information.
• Support hospitality functions across campus.
• Assist with laundry duties if required.
