Job summary

The University of Nottingham is seeking a Building Attendant to work at the Medical School within Queens Medical Centre. You will set up classrooms and meeting rooms, assist with general portering tasks and act as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring security by locking/unlocking buildings and testing alarms.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a customer-facing environment, some supervisory exposure, and familiarity with room setup, alarm testing, and cleaning in similar

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Some supervisory experience is desirable.
• Ability to set up meeting rooms and test alarm systems.
• Cleaning experience in a similar environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up classrooms and meeting rooms and carry out general portering duties.
• Be the first point of contact for visitors and provide information/help as required.
• Lock/unlock buildings and test fire alarms as part of security duties.
• Collect and deliver internal mail and report maintenance issues.
• Inspect fixtures and fittings and ensure high standards of customer service.
