Job summary

University of Nottingham is seeking a Building Attendant to work at the Medical School within the Queens Medical Centre. You will set up classrooms and meeting rooms, carry out portering duties, and be the first point of contact for visitors, providing information and assistance.

You will lock/unlock buildings and test fire alarms. The role requires supervision experience, a background in similar environments, and cleaning experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer facing environment.
• Some supervisory experience.
• Experience setting up meeting rooms.

Responsibilities

• Set up classrooms and meeting rooms to meet requirements.
• Carry out general portering duties.
• Be first point of contact for visitors and provide information.
• Lock/unlock buildings and test fire alarms.
• Collect and deliver internal mail; report maintenance issues.
• Dispose of waste and inspect fixtures and fittings.
• Support cleaning activities as needed.
