Job summary

BPAS is seeking a Media and Campaigns Assistant to provide dedicated support across media relations, campaign delivery, supporter engagement and fundraising administration. Working with the Media and Campaigns Manager and the Strategic Communications directorate, you will provide operational and administrative support across multiple areas of work.

This is a permanent, full time position working 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Experience in communications, campaigning, media, fundraising or supporter engagement.
  • Experience providing administrative support in a professional environment.
  • Proficient with digital communications tools including Mailchimp and CRM systems.
  • Strong writing and communication skills with good IT skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the day-to-day press office and monitor media activity.
  • Maintain media contacts, supporter records and campaign databases.
  • Build, schedule and analyse Mailchimp email campaigns.
  • Support planning, delivery and evaluation of campaigns and supporter engagement.

BPAS is looking for a Media and Campaigns Assistant to provide dedicated support across media relations, campaign delivery, supporter engagement and fundraising administration.

Working closely with the Media and Campaigns Manager, Head of Campaigns and Communications and wider Strategic Communications directorate, you will provide operational and administrative support across multiple areas of work.

The role

This is an opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience across communications, media, campaigning and fundraising. You will support the day-to-day operation of the press office, maintain media contacts and supporter databases, and monitor media and campaign activity to produce reports and insights.

You will also support the delivery of email campaigns through Mailchimp, including scheduling, audience segmentation, A/B testing and performance analysis. Alongside this, you will assist with campaign activity, events and supporter engagement, as well as providing administrative support for fundraising initiatives and responding to donor enquiries.

This is a permanent, full time position working 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday. A hybrid role where you will work 1 day a week from our London office and the remaining from home.

Main duties of the job

About You

We're looking for someone with experience in communications, campaigning, media, fundraising or supporter engagement, alongside experience providing administrative support within a professional environment. You will be confident using digital communications tools, databases and email platforms, with good IT skills including Microsoft Office.

You'll have strong writing and communication skills, excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be able to manage multiple priorities, analyse information and produce clear reports and summaries.

  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure & respond quickly to changing priorities
  • An understanding of media, campaigning & supporter engagement

Salary £31,199 - £34,608 per annum depending on skills and experience. This salary is inclusive of Inner London Weighting

Hours 36 hours per week | Monday to Thursday 09:00-17:00 and Friday 09:00-15:30

  • Confidence using digital communications tools including email platforms, databases, and social media scheduling systems
  • Experience of using digital communications tools such as Mailchimp, CRM systems, or social media platforms
  • Experience within the womens, health, charity, or human rights sectors
  • Experience supporting a press office or campaign delivery function
Qualifications
  • Educated to relevant degree, NVQ, HNC, HND, or foundation degree level, or possessing equivalent experience in professional environment
