Job summary

Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust invites applications for a Specialty Doctor in the Thanet CAMHS Community Team, Broadstairs. The role involves managing an independent caseload of CYP with generic and ADHD presentations under consultant supervision, within a clear pathway of episodic, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with GMC and licence to practise.
• Experience in psychiatry with ADHD/ASD is desirable.
• Eligibility for S12 approval or able to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess, formulate and manage young people including prescribing and monitoring.
• Attend network meetings to share formulations and plans with education and social care.
• Attend weekly MDT meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
• Assess and manage ADHD and ASD with potential skill development.
• Repeat prescribing for young people in the service.
• Support crisis team via the Pan Kent daytime duty rota (9–5, Mon–Fri).
• S12 approval can be gained during the post if needed.
