Job summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 senior therapeutic practitioner to work within the CYP Primary Care Mental Health Team, delivering assessments, brief therapy and caseload management in GP practices and community settings.

You will work autonomously with schools, social care and voluntary sector partners, with supervision and involvement in quality improvement projects. Five‑month fixed-term post with HCAS payment.

Qualifications

• Core professional qualification (psychology, OT, nursing, social work or equivalent) and HCPC/SSC/NMC/BABP registration.
• Experience with CYP mental health assessments and brief interventions.
• Experience of case management supervision and working with multi‑agency partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mental health assessments and brief evidence‑based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate needs.
• Hold and manage a clinical caseload as lead professional when appropriate.
• Develop care plans and psychoeducation for young people, parents and carers.
