Job summary

CNWL NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a CAMHS Single Point of Access Team Manager to lead the SPA team, collaborating with adjacent SPA managers and the Clinical Lead. The role requires senior clinical input, multi-disciplinary coordination and driving service development for CAMHS SPA.

The post offers a flexible shift pattern, with no requirement to work nights, and a focus on maintaining high-quality care and robust interfaces with external partners.

Qualifications

• Experienced mental health professional (Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or psychological therapist).
• Band 6 clinician seeking progression or Band 7 seeking a new challenge.

Responsibilities

• Provide management and clinical supervision, coaching, mentoring of staff and new post-holders; motivate and support individuals to achieve objectives.
• Contribute to training, coaching and clinical group supervision to the wider all-age SPA.
• Answer calls to the CAMHS SPA in a patient and courteous manner, screen and prioritise appropriately.
• Undertake clinical triage of calls to the CAMHS SPA, deciding on the correct care pathway for that call.
• Refer callers onto CAMHS local teams where appropriate and liaise with teams.
• Signpost callers on as necessary into non-statutory, third sector services (Thrive networks).
• Undertake initial social care triage, signposting and referring on patients as appropriate.
