This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of the most innovative and developing areas of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) across Greater Manchester.
As our CAMHS Inpatient Service Manager, you will provide visible, compassionate leadership for our specialist inpatient service while playing a key strategic role in the continued development of the CAMHS acute care pathway. This is a highly influential post, offering the opportunity to shape services for children and young people experiencing complex mental health needs.
Working as part of Pennine Care’s senior CAMHS leadership team and alongside the Bee Together Greater Manchester Children and Young People’s Mental Health Provider Collaborative, you will help drive service transformation, improve equity of access, reduce avoidable admissions and support young people to receive high-quality care closer to home wherever possible.
You will provide operational, clinical and strategic leadership across CAMHS inpatient and acute pathway services, leading a large multidisciplinary team and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care. Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing the CAMHS inpatient service and the wider acute care pathway across Greater Manchester.
Driving service improvement, innovation and transformation in line with local and national priorities.
Providing inclusive and supportive leadership to nursing, therapeutic, medical and administrative teams.
Ensuring high standards of quality, clinical governance, safeguarding, patient experience and regulatory compliance.
Leading workforce planning, staff development, performance, budgets and effective use of resources.
Overseeing patient flow, bed management and system-wide capacity planning.
Building strong partnerships with young people and families, commissioners, local authorities, community teams and other inpatient providers.
Representing Pennine Care as lead provider and contributing to strategic decisions across the Greater Manchester system.
