Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist (CAMHS-LD) Band 6 for a part-time, fixed-term 6-month role in Redruth. The post is 22.5 hours per week, with a pro rata salary of £39,959–£48,117 per year.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary community team providing assessments and interventions for children with learning disabilities and mental health needs, working across home and community settings. HPC registration is required.

Qualifications

• BSc/Diploma in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Registration with Health Professions Council (HPC)
• Experience with learning disabilities and complex needs; autism and neurodevelopmental conditions

Responsibilities

• Carry out holistic assessments for children with learning disabilities
• Contribute to multidisciplinary formulation and evidence-based interventions
• Manage an autonomous caseload from initial assessment to discharge
• Utilise the IThrive model quadrants and provide specialist skills
• Liaise with colleagues and external agencies; participate in governance, research and audits
• Participate in clinical governance and service development within CAMHS/LD team
