Qualifications

• Must hold a Full GMC Registration.
• Lead in handover and patient reviews.
• Oversee physical health screening on admission (ECG and bloods).
• Prepare discharge letters/reports and S62 forms in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an adequate handover to colleagues including out of hours.
• Review the mental state of patients as per hospital procedures.
• Ensure each patient has a full physical health screen on admission with ECG and bloods.
• Take a lead in managing any physical health concerns during inpatient stay.
• Obtain collateral history from other professionals and family.
• Complete discharge letters/reports/S62 forms promptly.
• Prepare mental health review tribunal and Hospital Managers’ hearing reports under supervision.
