Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is assisting a leading mental health hospital in Hatfield, Hertfordshire in recruiting a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a competitive salary and a generous benefits package.

You will be working within a trusted hospital environment, delivering high standards of clinical care and leading on complex cases with multidisciplinary teams and families. UK GMC registration is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Full GMC Registration (UK).
• Accredited or about to be accredited in Forensic psychiatry with the GMC.
• Appraisal or RITA completed within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate handover to colleagues including out of hours.
• Review patients' mental state as per hospital procedure.
• Ensure full physical health screen on admission including ECG and bloods.
• Lead in managing any physical health concerns during inpatient stay.
• Obtain collateral history from other professionals and family.
• Complete discharge letters, reports and S62 forms promptly.
• Prepare MH review tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings reports under supervision.
