Job summary

Cancer Research Horizons in the Cambridge region is seeking a Translation Executive to partner with researchers funded by Cancer Research UK, translating discoveries into practical innovations with impact for patients. The role demands scientific judgement, strong stakeholder management, and IP experience, including licensing, MTAs and CDAs, plus ability to work across institutions.

You will travel regionally (about 2–3 days per week) from home-based locations and report to the Cambridge Senior

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline; ideally oncology, life sciences, pharma, medicine or related.
• Experience translating discovery research and preclinical science into commercially viable proposals.
• Experience with IP protection and development, including MTAs and CDAs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver regional S&E strategies and objectives.
• Provide technology transfer services and manage IP protection for portfolio projects.
• Negotiate research collaborations and contracts with internal and external partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with CRUK-funded scientists and major centres/universities.
