Job summary

Konker is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join its Cambridge team, delivering technical depth from concept through to construction and coordinating design, production and information. You will produce and advise on material selection, specifications (NBS Chorus), and detailed design solutions, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and health and safety requirements.

The role offers flexible working with homeworking where appropriate and a strong progression path, plus a benefits

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of technical design and the UK construction process.
• Proactive CPD and commitment to the CIAT Code of Conduct.
• Sector experience across education, civic, commercial, heritage, industrial, or sports & leisure work would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and coordinating design, production and construction information.
• Producing and advising on material selection, specifications (NBS Chorus), and detailed design solutions.
• Ensuring projects meet current Building Regulations, standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients and statutory authorities to secure approvals.
• Managing tasks independently while contributing to multidisciplinary project teams.
