Job summary

Conisborough College is seeking an Exam Invigilator to support the conduct of internal and external exams. No prior invigilation experience is required as training will be provided, but applicants must declare any previous invigilation activity or sanctions.

The role involves setting up exam rooms, admitting candidates, supervising during exams, and handling any incidents, with training supplied. This is a term-time, hourly paid position reporting to the Exam Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience is not required; training will be provided.
• Applicants will be asked to declare prior invigilation and any sanctions.
• Be flexible and able to adapt to exam schedules.
• Demonstrate effective communication and a reassuring presence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct examinations in line with JCQ, awarding body and Conisborough’s instructions.
• Uphold the integrity of the examination process.
• Report to the exams officer and be briefed before each session.
• Set up exam rooms and admit candidates into rooms.
• Identify candidates and distribute exam papers and materials.
• Supervise candidates during exams and handle queries and incidents.
• Attend training and undertake other duties as required by the exams officer.
