Job summary

Areté Learning Trust is seeking reliable, calm and organised Exam Invigilators to support the fair and smooth running of examinations across our schools in North Yorkshire. You will ensure pupils understand and follow examination rules and assist with room setup and supervision.

Hours are variable and term-time casual contracts; salary is £13.48 per hour, with responsibilities including handling papers, recording attendance, and reporting irregularities.

Qualifications

• Reliable, calm and organised individuals to join our team of Exam Invigilators.
• Ability to ensure fair conduct of examinations in line with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms in accordance with exam board regulations.
• Ensure students enter and leave the exam room in an orderly manner.
• Distribute and collect exam papers and materials.
• Supervise students throughout the examination to maintain a calm and compliant environment.
• Ensure exam conditions are strictly followed and report any irregularities.
• Provide assistance with emergency procedures (e.g., illness, fire evacuation).
• Complete required documentation, including attendance registers and incident reports.
• Work collaboratively with the exams team and other invigilators.
• Safely store and return all exam papers and confidential materials.
