Disability North is seeking a kind, reliable Personal Assistant to support Jameel on weekends and school holidays. You will accompany him on community activities, encourage independence and social skills, and help with travel by bus or on foot, always communicating clearly and calmly.

You’ll provide reassurance and structure to help him enjoy outings safely, responding to his needs with empathy. Experience with autistic young people is desirable, but genuine willingness to learn matters most.

Qualifications

• Available on weekends and school holidays.
• Experience supporting autistic young people desirable.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to family needs.

Responsabilités

• Accompanying Jameel on trips to the park or other community activities
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and social skills
• Supporting travel by bus or walking when appropriate
• Communicating clearly and calmly, and responding to Jameel's needs with empathy
• Providing reassurance and structure to help him enjoy outings safely
