Supply Desk Ltd is seeking an Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to support a Year 4 pupil in a Uckfield school. The role requires providing calm, 1:1 support for a pupil with PDA and ADHD to help manage emotions and access learning throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will handle challenging behaviour with a calm, consistent approach, build trusted relationships, and work in partnership with the class teacher to promote inclusion and safety.

Qualificações

• Previous experience supporting children with ADHD, PDA, SEND or SEMH.
• Confident managing challenging behaviour.
• Calm, patient and emotionally resilient.
• Adaptable and able to think on your feet.
• Consistent and confident in maintaining boundaries.
• Experience working 1:1 would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil.
• Support learning, engagement and daily routines.
• Use calm, consistent and positive behaviour strategies.
• Help the pupil develop emotional regulation and coping strategies.
• Adapt approach to the pupil's individual needs.
• Build a trusting professional relationship with the pupil.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team.
• Support pupil to develop independence and confidence.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Respond appropriately to challenging situations.
