Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations of a busy cafeteria. You will lead a team of food service workers, ensuring top-quality meal preparation, efficient service, safety compliance, and superb customer experience in a high-volume setting.

Key duties include supervising staff, scheduling, training, enforcing sanitation standards, managing inventory and cost controls, addressing customer feedback promptly, and maintaining consistent food quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within food service, catering, or a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, sanitation standards, and inventory management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Food handler's certification or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including scheduling and task assignment.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and serving of all menu items according to established standards.
• Monitor and enforce food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations within the cafeteria.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to ensure operational efficiency.
• Assist in training new staff members and provide ongoing guidance and support to the team.
• Address customer feedback and resolve any service-related issues promptly and professionally.
