Job summary

Tesco Caf is seeking a dedicated team member to support front-line service in our cafe environment. You’ll prepare food, keep the kitchen clean, and help ensure consistent quality across offerings.

You’ll work as part of a team with a strong emphasis on customer care, Health & Safety compliance, and efficient service, in a busy retail cafe setting. Applicants should be 18 or over and available for flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• The ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our caf’s
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our caf’s menu inside and out and serving food exactly as it’s intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
• Staying up to date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
