Job summary

Tesco Cafés is looking for a team member to support back-of-house operations, keep the kitchen clean, and ensure every dish meets our standards. You’ll help with food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining hygiene while working in a busy café environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+.
• Experience in a fast-paced cafe environment is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and follow food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations and keep daily records.
• Rotate stock using FIFO to keep food fresh.
• Receive deliveries and store food safely.
• Follow operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food according to the cafe menu.
• Maintain high standards and ensure food availability.
• Know the cafe menu and serve items as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and relay feedback to the Café Manager.
• Stay updated with communications and new initiatives.
• Commit to excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Work well in a team and communicate proactively.
