Job summary

Tesco Cafes is seeking team members to join our busy cafs across Tesco stores in the UK. You will be part of a dynamic team handling cooking, serving customers and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area.

We emphasise great service, food safety, and teamwork, with flexible hours and opportunities to progress within the company. You must be 18 or over and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practice FIFO stock rotation to keep food fresh.
• Accept deliveries and store food safely.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food according to the menu.
• Ensure food products are available and up to standard.
• Know the caf's menu and serve food as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and inform the Caf Manager.
• Stay updated with business communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitise tables to keep the caf clean.
