Job summary

Tesco UK is looking for a Café Team Member to support our Back of House and café operations. You'll help prepare, serve and ensure clean kitchens, while delivering consistent quality and great service to customers across our 329 cafés.

The role offers flexible working options, a supportive team and opportunities to develop your career with Tesco. Candidates should be 18 or over and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and following food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ to apply.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced café environment.
• Commitment to customer service and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations and keep records.
• Practice FIFO stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accept deliveries and store food safely.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food according to Tesco Café standards.
• Maintain standards and ensure menu items are available.
• Know the café menu and serve items as intended.
• Resolve customer issues and communicate with the Café Manager.
