Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a Cafe Supervisor to coordinate and develop a high‑performing hospitality team. You will lead barista duties, ensure exceptional food service, and deliver outstanding guest experiences across events and daily operations.

The role emphasizes supervising and training staff, maintaining quality and customer service standards, and supporting a positive, inclusive work environment with a focus on growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Barista tasks: crafting coffees, drinks, and upselling to guests.
• Food service: serving to a high standard and meeting guest needs.
• Event experience: delivering hospitality to high-profile clients.
• Supervision and training: recruit, train, supervise catering team, set expectations.
• Quality control: monitor food quality, presentation, service standards and resolve issues.
• Logistics management: coordinate delivery, setup, breakdown of equipment, manage inventory.
• Customer service: build relationships with clients, handle inquiries and dietary needs.

Job Description

• Barista Experience -experience in crafting amazing coffees,delicious drinks and upselling to all our guests
• Food Service Experience - experience in serving food to a high standard and ensuring all our guests needs are met. Working with chefs and other team members.
• Event Experience -experience in delivering exceptional hospitality to high profiles clients that expect excellence.
• Supervision and Training - recruit, train, and supervise catering team, including servers, chefs, and support personnel. Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback to maintain a high level of performance
• Quality Control - monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards to ensure they meet or exceed customer expectations. Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
• Logistics Management - coordinate delivery, setup, and breakdown of catering equipment and supplies. Oversee the flow of events, including food service, beverage distribution, and guest interactions. Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels
• Customer Service - foster positive relationships with clients and guests, addressing their needs and concerns. Handle customer inquiries, requests, and special dietary requirements with professionalism and courtesy. Be curious, solicit feedback from clients to continuously improve catering services
